*** You must be at least 14 YEARS OF AGE to qualify to be a CIA  ***

The Christians In Action Team is comprised of many people who are all called by God to be a part of the program at Kingdom Ranch. Below you will find information about the different positions where you may be used to bring the message of Jesus Christ to our campers. If you and are interested in volunteering, please click on our logo above; then print, fill out, and return your application as soon as possible. The positions for participants are the following:

Counselors (ages 18 – 30): The primary duty of a camp counselor is to love and accept their camper unconditionally. To be an effective counselor, you must be willing to put aside your own personal desires and needs for the whole week. You must be willing to share God’s word in any circumstance. A counselor lives in a cabin with their camper(s) and is assigned the duty of overseeing and teaching one or two campers. Some counselor’s work with special needs children while others work in a cabin of siblings. The camper and counselor experience all of the activities at camp together. This means counselors must be willing and able to participate fully in all activities. This is a huge responsibility- 23 hour commitment daily with every effort given to allow for one hour of personal time for each counselor.

Junior Counselors (ages 16 & 17): these are very special teenagers that desire to serve in a counselor role. This means putting aside your own personal needs and maturely being a Servant for God. The jr. counselor follows the same guidelines as a counselor. You must be physically, mentally, and emotionally able to give 100% to the campers 23 hours a day.

THE COUNSELOR & JR. COUNSELOR MUST BE VERY MATURE AND WILLING TO WORK WITH SIBLINGS OR SPECIAL NEEDS CHILDREN.
You will not know your assignment until you arrive so must have a willing heart to minister wherever God needs you!

Wranglers (AGES 14 & 15): The Wranglers are true servants of God. These positions are not for the faint hearted! The duties of a Wrangler include cleaning toilets and bathrooms, filling water coolers, assisting with cleaning the dining hall, conference rooms, and any other area of camp that is needed. The Wranglers also assist with setting up and tearing down the party decorations, serving tables at mealtime, and kitchen or dish cleaning duties. They are assigned a cabin to participate in the activities with when their chores are completed. The best Wranglers are MATURE, 14-15 year olds with a very strong work ethic. You must be willing to work in any position.

Positions for Adult Christians In Action (CIA) Team Members

Due to the limited housing only one adult over thirty for every fifteen students on your team.

Medical Professionals: Registered Nurses and Licensed Physicians are used for each term for camp. Please contact us prior to completion of your application if you are interested in a position on the medical team.

Cabin Mom/Dad: These special adults work with a cabin group, providing relief to Counselors / Jr. Counselors. The position requires you to be dedicated 100% to serving in whatever capacity may be needed. Laundry for soiled bed linens, assisting with bathing, diapering, and dressing are all part of the job description for the cabin mom/dad.

Cook’s Helper: The Kingdom Ranch cook’s often needs help getting the food prepared for the meals. Your job usually consists of chopping, stirring, and cleaning in the kitchen. Real gourmet skills are not necessary, just a great work ethic and desire to serve others.

Maintenance/ Landscaping: For the adult who wants to get their hands dirty and help keep things running at camp, this is the job. You may be asked to mow, weed-eat, pull weeds, plant bushes, clean the grounds. Other jobs such as changing light bulbs, air-conditioning filters, etc. are required. Bring your work gloves and a willingness to work hard.

The Cost?
The opportunity to participate on the CIA team is one of the most life changing endeavors you will ever experience. All the participants pay $150 for their food and lodging while serving in the program. $40 is due at the time of application and the remainder is due a week before you are scheduled to arrive at Kingdom Ranch.

The Experience!
One way that our CIA team members make the most of the experience is to raise funds to provide a camper scholarship for a camper. If you choose to raise the $410 to pay for a camper to attend, we will absorb your room and board into the fees that you raise.
While fundraising may be an uncomfortable area for many, you will find the experience of being a missionary on our CIA team will be greatly enhanced by your by your involvement financially. Your experience begins when you start praying for the campers and the work you will do while at camp. As you raise funds, you get to share the story of Kingdom Ranch and you realize that this mission opportunity is much more than a one-week experience. You actually give others the opportunity to be involved in the ministry by giving to the program. Call us at (979) 272-3052 to get a fundraising packet sent to you.
This is a great opportunity to participate in a mission trip that will change your life, enhance your walk with Christ, and help you grow as a Christian. You’ll realize how to put your own needs aside and minister to another person. Please contact us for further information or questions. You can e-mail us at information@kingdomranch.org
